  Took in my 2007 GMC Colorado for a squeaking front brake
  IMPORTANT NOTE:
  About 10,000 miles ago Elm Chevrolet replaced the front brake pads and noted no impending problems.
  This time Elm Chevrolet REPLACED
  - Front pads
  - Front calipers
  - Front rotors & hubs
  - Front ABS sensors
  - Rear shoes (needed)
  - Rear Drums
  No attempt was made to Rebuild the Calipers, Turn the Rotors or Turn the Drums – Replacement part jockeys
  
  But it gets better
  Paid the $2,500 bill jumped in the truck – and – getting a flashing/beeping ABS warning on the dash and the pedal goes almost to the floor. Drive it back in, they tweak something to make the ABS warning go away. I had to get my wife to the hospital for her chemo treatment early the next AM so drove it home as is – VERY SLOWLY
  Getting loud squeaking, scraping noises from the front end at every speed – and – the pedal goes almost to the floor, goes so far down that unless careful my foot hits the accelerator when braking. After wife’s chemo drove it back to Elm Chev., they did their magic; squeak goes away, pedal still goes to the floor.
  Take it back in 3d time, once again noting that the pedal goes almost to the floor and that unless careful my foot hits the accelerator when braking, gently suggest that it feels like the brakes were not bled. They look at the reservoir and tell me that of course the brakes are bled the reservoir is full, can’t you see. They grudgingly agree to take another look. Sometime later they tell me that they think the situation is better. They “think”? The difference was night & day.
  $2,500 & 4 visits later I have a drivable truck. No 14 year old could have done worse
